Kenwood Completes Expansion with VHC Health in McLean, VA
KMP Management, an affiliate of Kenwood Management Company, announced today that it has expanded VHC Health at McLean Plaza. Located at 6862 Elm Street in McLean, Virginia, VHC Health will expand to 14,650 square feet, representing an entire floor in the building. Their new lease will last through late 2034.
KMP Management acquired McLean Plaza in late 2021. At the time, the property was 80% leased, with about half the space occupied by various medical tenants. Since then, occupancy has increased to 95%, and medical tenants now represent approximately 75% of the 104,000-square-foot property.
Strategically positioned in the heart of downtown McLean, VA, a thriving northern Virginia community, the building is a stone's throw away from a plethora of popular shopping and restaurants. Among the esteemed tenants in the building are MedStar Medical, Anxiety Institute, and Orbis Operations.
VHC Health is a 453-bed, not-for-profit teaching facility designated as a Magnet® hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a proud member of the Mayo Clinic Care. The Hospital was recognized as a 2021 Top Teaching Hospital by The Leapfrog Group. VHC was also selected for an 11th consecutive Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ and a 21st consecutive ‘A’ grade from The Leapfrog Group in 2022.
Lawrence Fitzgerald and Cole Spalding from Newmark represented KMP, and William Evans from Avison Young represented VHC.
“We are incredibly pleased to have VHC Health expand its presence at McLean Plaza,” Principal of Kenwood Management Bill Singer said, “Since acquiring the property, we have experienced a steady increase in medical users who want a presence in the McLean community.”
